after the years the masonite or what ever is used goes stupid and won't hold the clips etc.

SO what would be the best thing to use to replace it? another masonite sheet or is there something better?

and while i'm at it after someone has put their elbow through the plastic ( from doors getting sticky but thats another problem.. LOL ) is it ok to glass up the cracks and holes or again is there a better way?

"buy a new/2nd one" well at the rate its going this will not be an option and i think other options need to be found for the average starion owner to become self sufficient :)

You could make a door trim outa MDF say 6mm stuff and lay down some foam then vinal and to attatch it weld a few nuts onto the door and run "nice looking" hex head countersunk bolts to the nuts... solid and shoudl look decent.. i might do it, if i do i'll make a "how to"

u should be able to cut the required holes in a new mdf door card benny, by using a coupla different size drill bits and a file......

yeah the required holes isn't a problem, its the mounting but as said above some nice screws would do the trick... counter sunk sockets would look alright

the mounting holes for the attaching clips mate is what i meant, they're like a keyhole shape so u can get the clips in. easy to make with a large drill and a small drill, and a file to bridge the gap...
