anyone installed a double din HU into their starions? easy fit?

make your own console it will be stronger

i got an import console in my JB, it's meant for a double din, side mount. try and find one and you'll be set!
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

My standard starion console had a Double DIN front. Thats the kind of stereo that it had it in when it came standard. With the amplifier etc. It shouldn't be too hard to make them though.

I thought I would bring this post up as I just recently bought a black faced Conquest car stereo from the US.
To my surprise, they are Double-Din as opposed to our 2 1/2 Din openings (both aussie and Jap spec).
Luckily I have bought a stereo surround from the US as well!

The reason I picked one up is to use the stereo controls on the steering wheel, plus the fact they look awesome!
I hope they sound good too....

So, if you want a nicer fitment of a Double-din unit in your car, pick up a stereo surround from the US (as Redzone has stated).
