the passager side is a 5 inch speaker in the dash and passanger and driver doors are 4 inch the passenger is fairly easy to get to you have to drop the glove box down .
The drivers side is a 4 inch speaker you will loose the little vent on top of the dash very hard to get to you will need to pull the dash apart ( big job i replace the standard speakers 1 month ago it sounds ok but i bought two pairs of 4 inch speakers an 1 set of 5 inch i sold 1 4 inch speaker and 1 5 inch speaker to freestyler in sydney a job like this is recomended for someone with a lot of patience.

i think i couldn't fit 6" in the doors without a pod, i guess it depends on how big the magnet is on yours but i needed that little extra room to fit mine.

i got kicker 6" splits in the front doors. i originally had 4" from previous owner but i managed to get em to fit with modifiying the 4" brackets. If u are goin to go for the door though, i suggest getting the pod things, coz it was a pain in the arse install.

Same as stock position with later models. There's a hole in the metal behind the door panel in the JAs as well, but it wasn't big enough for the 6" i put in, so i just raised it out a bit with a pod, or can use a spacer etc. Here's a pic (bad one) of the later model front speaker position

I installed 6" speakers in those holes last weekend. After doing it, it wouldn't fit, but I made it fit. It wasn't that hard. I think the major difference was that mine was screwed into the door trips rather then the 5" mount that attaches to the door. Looks the goods though when done. It came with pioneer covers which look better then the stock plastic crap. (had to do a little cutting of the door trim though). Sounds heaps better then the stock door speakers too.

Now I just have to disconnect the dash ones ;p I don't think they are worth the effort unless you are like gary and want a top notch audio system. Otherwise you can do without them really.

sweet, take the door trims off and do a mock fit though just in case you don't need pods.
