Your head unit dosn't have filter options for the RCA line out?
Is the 200 watts peak power or rms? Will you be / can you bridge 2 channels? Quality amp? Whats the woofer rated at?

if you just want it to work mate 200w will be eough, even if it isnt rms.

if the head unit doesnt have a low pass filter in built,or the amp doesnt have one either, grab the line converter from jaycar :beer

If its just one ten yeah itll run it. I had 150 to each of my tens and they bumped. Plus other factors come into play. If you are putting it into your starion that will help it bump cause its a hatch. If your sub box is ported (kinda depends on the sub as well).

If this is the amp you have got, dont waste your time trying:

I couldnt run my 8" sub off that amp in bridged configuration, couldnt hear a thing unless you were right next to it.

I believe that amp is designed to be put inline with your cars speaker outputs more so than line output.

Ill take out my existing setup and give it a try now, but i doubt it'd run 6" speakers off the rca's

Chances are the boss deck wont have the audio filter options on rca outs, try in the audio menu of the deck if it has one.
