Im thinking of something along these lines to mount my 15"... but more of a custom f.glass parcel shelf sitting on rubbers (sealing it from the rest of the boot - using it as an enclosure) and with locks keeping it down.. so ALMOST a parcel shelf.. :P lol

My advice....Don't put a sub in your parcel shelf....It's called the tissue box effect. (Very bad if you crash)....

I would change the shape of the box before anything else...

You could fibreglass a sub box into the spare wheel well. These if done correctly can sound awesome -sounding quite different to a sub box just plonked into the boot.It makes the car part of the box. Really solid bass notes.......bastard if you get a flatty though! :P

a free air sub will allways sound worse than in a sealed inclosure why don't you put a grill in the parcel shelf and but the sub box up to it

all i'm doin with mine is using 18mm mdf and putting a single 10inch in it for now until i get another one, and it's going in behone the rear seats, but you gotta put a channel in it cause of that lip from the black frams in the boot but besides that it looks awsome with some carpet on it and a box on the back with a port hole and some connectors for the wires.

word of advice dont use 5ply it aint strong enough i learnt that the hard way when it snapped after i carpeted it hehehe.

I want that.... i would like to know if he actually bolted it to the boot floor or if it just fitted so nicely that it didnt move....
but the main problem i think i would have if i have a sub and removed the spare altogether is that ill need to make sure redzone is around to lend me a spare or 2 if i get a flat or damage a wheel again :P
