I finally got around to painting the Starion.

Before:

Cracked paint on the bumpers

After:

I removed the stripes on the side and the Turbo sticker. Also removed all badges.

I painted it with my new $89 compressor with a $35 accesery kit which included a spray painting gun. The paint was just over $300. But it was a lot of work. A lot of time went in to the preparation. I am very happy with the results.

not sure why but the door looks not as glossy as the rest of it. is there a step you missed with the polishing or clearing? I'm thinking of painting a car soon and was scared of that happening too

Was it meant to be flat? You need to cut it down with 1200 to get all the pits out, then cut and polish it! Should come up something like HCCA's in the sticky at the top! :beer

The doors could use a go with the 1200 grit wet and dry, however i wanted to leave the doors a little bit matt so all the wrincles would not show up as bad.

I recognise a couple of people in that photo. Particularly Asher in the sunglasses... I think the respray looks fantastic Avandull but like the others suggest it would be worth cutting it back a little bit more. I really like the stickers it had originally as well so if it were me I'd be considering sourcing some more of those.

But congratulations on a pro DIY paint job mate, looks mint. :beer
