Door mouldings/Part numbers

Does anyone know the part numbers and availablity of the door mouldings.
These items I refer to are the stell and rubber trims that fit around the rim of the window/s on the doors.

I need to replace the lower ones at least, it detracts from the new paint job on the car having rusty trims.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I did once find them available ex Japan but a set for both doors (3 peices per side) was going to cost $600NZ.

Chances of availability of new parts would be approaching zero. Best you could really do without replacing them is to try and paint them.

Thanks HCCA

Not possible because the steel part has rusted to buggery.

I cant be the only one with this problem, every second starion in New Zealand is like this-must be our salty air.

Ok it seems that no one knows what I am talking about,

Have a look at this link and on the illustration you will see parts 9,10 & 11 are the mouldings. Number 10 & 9 rust the worst in New Zealand.

Currently I am trying to convince Conicelli to ship to NZ, if they have the itemas in stock.

Does Australia have such a good environment that Starions dont rust?

Next step is to get them made up in NZ, this is my task for today.

Yeah, I know they're the parts you meant... they shouldn't rust unless the rubber coating peels off. It does around the corners, but i've never seen any that were so bad that the rubber couldn't just be glued back on, so your car must have seen some pretty extreme elements.

In New Zealand the metal rusts even inside the rubber, damn sea level living.

Its not a lack of care because every Starion except 87s etc have rusty mouldings.

go for a walk through a car park, you will be surprised how many cars have buts very similar. I haven’t found one like it yet, but I bet there out there.
