Removal of Rear Panel :: Help

Hey all,

Just trying to remove the panel below but am having problems it seems to be attached at the triangle section at the back still after removing the 2 screws that hold it in?? anyone removed these before??

I just want them re-sprayed.
Any Help would be appreciated :)

There is bolts on the inside under the trim that you have to remove to get it off.

:o Hi ben if you have trouble with the bolts you can always tape them up and spray them like did :)

They have clips too for some unknown reason (like 3 bolts isn't enough). I got mine powercoated.. looks pretty good.

Yes, you need to undo the nuts from inside the car and then slide the panel forward to disengage the clips.

LOL, poor cat!

is there a possibility of the clips breaking? just checking cos all the interior ones seem to break after you take them out once :? if they do i'm guessing it's not a problem due to the 3 bolts there anyway?

Hey all,

I removed them,resprayed them and boltsed them back on,
Decoy the clips don't break to easy i didn't break mine, as long as you pull directly up and forward you shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks again guys, the car is starting to look cool :)

Haven't you seen a cat with a lime on it's head before? :D

I took the clips out altogether.. they seem completely unnecessary to me (plus weight saving eh Cookie :))
