Widebody mirror conversion
just wondering who has done this? I need to suss this out soon as the car is about to get painted and would like to get these painted at the same time... diagrams would be awesome. :P

straight swap isn't it? fark knows how to wire the electrics up tho, espesh onto an existing manual mirror :S

I thought that the main problem is that the angles the mirrors are setup don't suit RHD vehicles. Apparently they do not have enough adjustment in them to actually see what you need to see. The jap RHD widebodies only ever had the plastic JB/D mirrors.
That said - I'm sure it would be possible to modify them to suit though.

the right hand side one (drivers side rhd) is fine but the left one doesnt have enough adjustment.

i think there's a curve on the passenger one instead of the drivers one for the "objects may be closer then they appear". still usable tho i think. just paint them up and replace the glass if its horrible. :D
