Removing Clear Coat from rims

Any easy way to get clear coat off rims?

you could use some wet 1200 paper, then use 2000 wet and polish them up. You could also try thinners, but be very careful as you don't want to strip away any colour from the centre of the rim. Then go over it with the wet paper/s to make sure all of the clear coats gone, then polish to your little hearts content.Alspos wrote:Any easy way to get clear coat off rims?

or there is that way, remember to wash down the rim with soapy water to neutalise the acidity.Powerslave wrote:I removed the clearcoat easily using the brush-on paint stripper and then hosing it off.
