i know this is a can of worms but has anyone fitted seats from another car to the staz?
I searched all the interior forums on seats and there is conflicting info
eg- cordia seats some say they go in others not?
just got some leather astra convertable seats very nice but you sit
way to high
cordia seats look like wide body seats and i like them and there cheap
can some one set me the right track (oh yeah the staz seats are stuffed)

The problem comes in with the Starion having different seat mounting points left and right side. The drivers side has a hump to accomodate a catalytic converter.
I'm currently making up a set of mounts to fit some generic recaro's to my Red car. I'm copying a Bride s13 rail design, as they have the same issue. Will put some pics up later on if it works out :).
I did put some Starion seats into a Sapporo once (Scorpion over there?) and they were a direct fit, but made the seating position a bit low.

the astra seat hight and might
have a fix.
it would be a shame to was them
very nice to sit in
yeah had a look the bride ones

to be the seat base to thick in most
cases, let me know how you go

I used Recaro's from an EVO 2, had to get the rails modified tho, the seats sat a bit higher than the original Starion seats but not so high my head hit the roof or anything. Overall very comfortable and hugged well on corners.

There's numerous different ways to solve the issue, but the lower you want to mount the seat, the more extreme the mods become.
For example, in my Rally JB, to get my Velo seats low enough so that my helmet didn't hit the roll cage, I had to cut out the section of floor that was raised to fit over the cat convertor, & fit a new steel floor section. Then had to fabricate some custom seat mounts to enable the Velo seats to mount to the new floor. I retained the original chassis rail that goes across the car under the front of the seats, but welded in new mounts on the sides of the trans tunnel, & the door sills. This way, if anything large like a rock or a stump gets underneath, it won't hit the seat mounts.
Good luck, everyone has their own way of doing it.
