Just about finished stripping the interior. Removed the roof lining yesterday and underneath is some blue fuzzy stuff.
Anyone have any idea how to get it off the metal roof without damaging the paint?
Some bits came off easy, but it seems some other bits are glued.
Blue fuzzy shit!

Massive PITA!
Go to your local hardware store and get the strongest glue remover, some scrapers & a drop sheet (to catch all the shit you scrape off the roof).
Apply liberally, wait the indicated time and then scrape until every muscle in your body aches :glare:
Repeat as many times as it takes to turn the glue into a very faint white stain on the roof.
Took me a couple of weekends & a couple of trips to the Chiropractor to get the job done.
Good luck!

Bugger! I was hoping for an easy answer!
I really didn't want the hassle of repainting anything.
Well Im going to buy a can of por15, so might have to fix up the bare metal with that.
Just a thought. What about a heatgun and a scraper?

Just don't use a naked flame to burn it off. It all catches fire real quick. I found out the hard way. Now I'm back to scraping a bit off each week-end. As JJH said, it doesn't take long till your back hurts.FST4RD wrote: Just a thought. What about a heatgun and a scraper?

Yeh I looked doing this! I ended up just ripping as much as I could off by hand and just leaving the rest. Might try the glue remover / stripper idea though hmmm fun

Back isn't to bad, i just reclined the drivers seat and went for gold. A lot of it came off on it's own. Going to buy one of those sticker scraper things with the blade in the end, i reckon that will take the rest off.
On a side note there was a bit of moisture under the roof lining, surprised there was no rust!
