Hey all,

Does anyone know where you can buy aftermarket replacement handbrake buttons?? mine looks like it is chewed or somthing.

I remember seeing a Drift Handbrake button that was universal that you could twist to make it stay in, so when you pull the handbrake it wouldn't stay engaged and then when finished you could twist it back to allow normal handbrake operatiom. I saw it in a magazine but can't find it now. If anyone can help or knows where i can get them let me know please.

Do not put any parts on your car that come in a package with the words Drift, Dorifto or 180sx on it.

Push the button in, drill a hole through the handbrake and the button. Put a pin in the hole left by the drill. How easy was that although it won't fix chew marks.

Mine (handbrake button :roll:) also looks like its seen better days. I'd be interested in a different type as well.

Anyone tried a whole new handbrake lever from another car??

japanese motorsport appear alot in H.P.I, they sure know what they are talking about when it comes to the drift scene and products. :D
I have some of their cars on video and watching the drifting antics on the racetrack is a good way to pass the time on a dreary melbourne arvo.

N1 Dist. in Melbourne can get the handbrake buttons that can be twisted to make the button stay in and therefore not locking the handbrake on. (also can be twisted back to allow parking etc.) around $70 though.

The Cusco covers might be the go though. thanks again :)

You could always try a product called immobilock. It's a combination type handbrake lock that can be locked with the button in to make it a drifter's handbrake (disabling the ratchet). I can post some pics if u like , I have searched the net for this handbrake , but did not find any links or references to it.

how about, when u dont want the handbrake to stay on, hold the button in while you pull it up.. then let it back down.. its really not that hard.. ur gonna be holding on to the hand brake when u pull it up any way.. :?
