Hello!
I have a question about the bumper lights on -85 models and up... On my car (norwegian -87mod) the lamps are xtra highbeams, but what are the used for down under? :) Are they daytime driving lights(foglights) or highbeams? (or what its called...) I would like to buy a pair if they are used for daytime lights(foglights, whatever) and if any of u have for sale..

Welcome :D :beer
I have them in my 85 JB Starion and the owners manual describes them as driving lamps ( lights) they are NOT fogs. They are controled by a dash switch that allows you to have them on or off and they will only come on on hi beam and are off when you dip the lights to lo beam. They cannot be opperated other than with hi beam

Unless you have a Japanese import Starion, such as a GSR-V, which has a switch that turns them on or off, completely independent of the headlights.

thanx for the answers! My car is a european car, but i dont have a switch on the lights, they follow the highbeam. I think Ill just reroute a few wires and adjust them down a bit so i can use them as driving lights. My father have drawn a new wiring diagram for automatic daytime driving lights, and i mounted two foglights underneath the bumper, so if i reroute the wires and use the connectors from my other starion, then i can use them anyway. I was hoping maybe these lights had another function in another market, but nope...
