nick one of the wife's cake forks.
perfect :D

Sam, the centering on the speedo and tacho could be a bit better.
and the white face paint might be better if it was a flat finish (not gloss),
otherwise, great.

??? I don't get it.. they are absolute copies in regards to the sizing and alignment.. which bits are an issue? Anyone else have this problem?

That white is a blockout vinyl - flat white is not available as such and so would shine through the backing completely.

Couple of pics of mine installed, they are a tad brighter than this IRL, the white backgrounds glow a little aswell making it very easy to read and see the needles.

Took this pic on one second exposure aswell, they are not this bright in real life, but it looks damn cool.

regarding the allignment (on mine),
the tacho and speedo are skewed to the right, roughly 1mm.
such that when the black surround piece is fitted, the outside of the graduation marks are almost at the edge of the surround piece on the right hand side, and 2mm in on the lefthand side.

as for the white paint mask, well, bummer about that, i guess.
never mind.

nit-picking aside, they look terrific. Great work Sam.

Really weird.. i'll see if I can work out what the problem is. It's stange though that Prozac's 180kph gauge has the same problem - it was taken from a different scan, although I then lined it up with the other speedo and used some elements from that, so maybe that's the cause.

I -can- do a flat white, but it will be translucent (might be ok if you use EL or globe covers though).

eck,

The problem is that I have to outsource the cutting at this point in time, and that takes far longer than it should unfortunately. I'm looking at changing this though :) I have a few custom designs to do so i'll get them done today or tomorrow and then go hassle people. So I should have them by the end of the week (I hope). Sorry for the delay. This goes for Dirty Sanchez too! :)

tmz,

Hey.. it's not impossible! I don't have a digital dash (or a scan) to work from though! (hint hint :))
