Polishing Glass And Rear Window Demisters

Hey guys, I don't want to sound naive but I am when it comes to glass polishing...

It does exist right? And can it be done yourself? Is there products which you can get from super cheap auto or something which do it?

Also, my rear demister doesnt work, im not sure if its because the little line things on the window are dead, if the wire some where down the line is destroyed or if the connection in the gas strut isnt good enough. But either way im wanting to polish both sides of the rear window because there is shit on it which wouldnt come off with a steam clean or windex, and Id have to remove the demister line things.

Can you buy kits to install them somewhere?

You learn appreciate how good re demisters are when they dont work.

You can buy those de-mister strips in packets that directly wire up to a 12V source, failing that you can get an auto sparky to help you out.

Try some on a rag...rub it on like yr polishing yr knob...err i mean car. Then rub it off with a clean rag. You should have ultra gleaming glass and........no decay!

newspaper is the best stuff to buff/ polish with, dunno why, just comes out sweet! no streaks, marks nothin!

We sell them over here at our Repco outlets, they're made by a brand called motorgard which aren't exactly the definition of quality but they should work.. I can get you a part no. if you like and perhaps you could go down and harass your local.

Microfiber is the best but not the cheap stuff i sell microfiber in my bussiness a microfiber polishing cloth is all you need i also have car kits with a polishing cloth wash mitten and microfiber chamios

Good micro fiber cloths are $20 or 3 for $55

I use them on my paint job

For the skeptics, Flav's advice on using toothpaste is ok.

I've used it before to remove scratches from CDs - works a treat (but I haven't tried it on glass).

No paste they last 300 washes in the washing machine

Yes there is a polish as follows:
