Just did this so thought I'd take some of the hassle out of it for those of you attempting it.
It'll take a couple of hours to do both doors.
First off the kit I got was the universal 3 lock Solex kit. It has the following bits and pieces in it:
In addition you will need a door trim remover tool, screwdriver, two or three small metal files (half round, triangle and square), masking tape a bit of patience and lots of coffee.
First you have to remove the interior trim. Theres a how to guide for that somewhere else on here. My euro spec had slightly different screw and clip placements to the tutorial so heres a couple of pics to help:

Now in the hole behind the clear plastic stuff on the upper right (which needs to be removed) is the rear of the lock mechanism.
You must remove the arm which is clipped into the lock mechanism (at the top), remove the locator plate (the metal bit jammed between the barrel and the backside of the door) and carefully wiggle the lock out through the front of the door. Hold onto the little plastic clip that holds the actuator arm onto the lock itself. you will reuse this.
Now all going well you should have this:
As you can see the hole is too small to fit the solex barrell in so its time to widen the hole. You want to mask off the hole so that you don't scratch the paint and it doesnt chip. It also gives you something to draw on:
Now mate the solex lock up to the hole and draw a template which you will follow to file out like so:
yeah rough i know but its just a guide.
Now using your wee files (the hobby ones are good) carefully file out the template, all the while check with the lock barrel to see where bits need to be removed etc... Go slowly and check regularly. You want the barrel to fit in snuggly not rattle around in a great big hole.
Now you should have this:
Trial fit your lock:
Glad? Now use the right side one. (The two notches should be at twelve oclock and three oclock when it is mounted in the door. If they're at twelve and nine then you have the wrong one in.
Now pull the lock out and turn it over. Remove the little black circlip thingy and put arm no. 2 on the lock. It only fits in one position. The other two arms don't allow the lock to be held down when you lock it. Now clip the little plastic clip from the original lock arm (that you kept in a safe place remember?) onto the new lock arm.
Now you need to put the lock in the door, reattach the actuator arm to the lock barrel with the plastic clip and then when it all looks right and the lock locks and unlocks your door (which it should if these instructions are right!) you need to hold it on place with the metal locator clip. It would look like this out of the car:
But remember the black locator clip will be inside the car holding the lock on the outside. Make sure it is clipped in and won't fall out. (Slide it in from left to right looking at the inside surface with tab facing out).
Hopefully you now have this:
You should be able to lock the door and pull the key out of the three oclock slot. This way it acts to hold down the locking bar and is more secure than a normal lock.
These instructions are for the drivers door. If you want the instructions for the passenger door then you're a dumbass.
