How to and How much???

Post by camstuart52@ »

How do i go about polishing my standard rims as i had some bought for me that were ROH and I don`t really want to put them on cause they are not a Starion Mag as far as I`m concerned.

I really need to know how to, or how much to get done!!! If anyone could help that would be great.......

Cheers Cam :beer

I got my standard starion mags polished on the Gold Coast, well two at a different place, and they were the same cost.

Total was I think $33 per rim

I have the faces of my Starions rims polished , but they were like that when i got it, I just buff them up every now and again with brasso.

They do come up shinier than this after a polish.

As long as you realise it will take A LOT of time and patience as well as a small pile of tools to get to the stage of the pictures above.

Junkie had the face of his stock rims machined. They look pretty sweet too.
But yeah wide body rims are the way to go making any starion look the shizit. There is two different sizes too I think? Some are wider than others?

widebody front alloys are narrower than the rears, traditionally ran narrower tyres front and wider rear.
I belive widebody rims are also 5 stud pattern so wont fit Au spec.

7" and 8" on earlier cars, 8" and 9" on later ones (or something like that)
But that's not counting narrowbodies......

UK spec starions are cool, stock 5 stud.
Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.
