Hi guys and gals,
Last night, the door latch on my driver's side door stopped working. I now have to lower the window and then reach outside and open the door using the outside handle :S
Has this happened to anyone before? Please post if you know what's broken, or what parts i'll need. Does fixing it involve taking off all the door trim, or is it something much easier to fix?
Thanks in adviance!

yeah pull the door trim off and check the little plastic clips on the pushrod between the handle and the latch are intact, if they are ok and the latch is being operated by the handle, the latch is at fault.
the clips are common to MANY japanese vehicles.

Here's a tip: The plastic clips can be replaced with metal ones that you'd find on dattos. Then there's no more broken clips...
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

ahh THAT's a good tip, thanks!
all fixed now tho, albeit not permanently.. it turns out the wire/ metal pipe from the door lock is interfering with the wire/ metal pipe from the handle, so the little hook at the end keeps coming out of place. put it back in once and it happened again. put it back in this time and a bit more careful with the door and no dramas yet :)
