Racing Harnesses?

Post by fr335tyl3r »

Anyone have these installed in their car?

I always feel a little uneasy as to how secure the seatbelts in the door would be during an accident if one was to occur. Ide like to put a different seatbelt solution in if possible as racing harnesses look way too hardcore for my liking...lol

Any ideas?

TIA

Most that i've seen attach to the original rear seat belt mounting points. What ever you do make sure they are no more than 45 degrees from horizontal. If they are they can break the seat, and your back, in a severe accident.

my brother had them in his gen2.... they were damn annoying :S had to take them out to get off defect so i don't think they're street legal either. his sparcos were tho but he had to take the back seats out and register it as a 2 seater as they wern't reclinable.

There's no mounting point in the floor either, beside the seat on the outside. Or is there, I haven't ripped up the carpet to find out. I assume, drill hole, plate behind etc...
