Body problem, rust :(

Post by beetleman »

Guys, I have a rust problem :( My car had a paintjob 2 years ago, and this year rust come :(
Picture tells 1000 words, so I marked where little annoying rust bubles come:

I saw that this lower part of wide-body is closed, and maybe there is water that is gather there and little by little "eating" my car with rust.

I know that here isnt so much widebodyes, but maybe you can help me how to stop this rust? Tinman can help? But what is final solution? little wholes so water can go away?

Thank you all! :)

Just unbolt that panel and fix the rust. (only a couple bolts under rubber grommets)
Make sure water can get out ok from the bottom of your front guards and rust treat everything you can while you are at it.

Rest of the car looks good.

yes that panel is easily attainable from the USA if u dont want to fix that one.

also while you're in the mood i'd be rustproofing the car everywhere u can with cavity wax and fish oil, especially the guard bottoms behind the wheels, chassis rails, sills, doors etc

2redzone: well, we will remove panels and I hope to see no problem :) hehe :)

2 4gpwr: well, yes, snow, it is fun to drive when it snows but there is also a negative side like salt on streets, they damage paint, everything :(

so my car on winter is in garage from now :).
