wtb used haltech
Preferably a haltech e11v2, but I doubt anyone here is even running one, and I only have about 1000usd to spend on one. I'd be up for a haltech e6k for 600usd or less depending on what it came with. I need engine management asap, gotta get my 1jz project finished by april first.

Australia is the home of aftermarket ECUs. I'd suggest that you should be able to find a brand new microtech or wolf3D for the money you have.
Try searching google or someone else may know the distibutors.
I do actually have in a box a Motec M800 + CDI setup for a 1JZ. Unfortunately this is way out of your budget (and not really for sale).

I'm wanting something I can run my stock setup with, other than map, which it seems the haltech will do. I dont know enough people running microtech on the 1jz to really bother with it now. I can get haltech maps from quite a few people, and everyone running it is happy, so seems like a good intermediate choice.

Have you had a look at the power fc for the 1jz? have a mate running one in his and it's sweet only cost him 1100 au$. The closed loop functionality keeps it safe and he didn't have to spend extra $ getting someone to rewire the whole engine to suit another computer. However i hear haltech have developed plugin solutions for the rb and sr engines maybe the have a plugin solution for the 1j aswell?. Great conversion idea btw should fly you've love the torque that's for sure.
How fast do those doorhandles go mate!

my harness is a little fubar already, so I kinda wanted to go with a haltech, so I can just rewire it. Dont really want a powerfc. Right now, ideally, a haltech e6k for around 600 is really what I need. Gotta get my car going before april first, because I gotta suprise a bunch of people at the late nighty drags season opener :)

Try "www.horsepowerinabox.com.au".
They carry Haltech and Motec systems and ship US. Prices are as good as they get.
Cheers

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.
Microtech will supply an ECU with a map that will allow the car to start and drive well enough to get you to a dyno tuner.
My car started up first go after we wired it in in 5 hours.
If you really want a used Haltech, maybe try a few of the Aussie forums, like toymods.org or performanceforums.com

EXACTLY what WANTSOM said. Horsepowerinabox is the best you will find. Their service is excellent too.
Like Charlie said, try toymods, etc for second hand ones, although from what i've seen they don't come up too often (a credit to how good they are as most people don't see the need to upgrade after getting one)

What hcca said.
Also, $600USD? That's about $800AUD. I doubt you will find a used Haltech for that price. I know that Microtech's start at $995AUD new.

i have a used ems stinger 4424 for sale, could be the go. has 4 ign and 4 inj drivers, so would need to run waste spark ign and batch fire inj on the 6 cyl. asking $600au. can configure to stock sensors. comes with loom and program/wiring diagram disc. has 4 (i think) pwm outputs too. has internal map sensor reads up to 20psi i believe.
could be an option 4 ya!
or a new wolf 3d version 4 is $1095AU new and does 99% of what a haltech does. configure to stock sensors also! :beer

only problem with wolf, is it only supports a 4 wire stepper, mine is 6. The microtech is interesting, but it costs as much as a e11v2 for the sequential 6 cylinder version, and about the same for the 4 banger version.

or i believe the wolf3d version 4 PLUS would do the trick, newly released, bout $1350au i believe brand new.. has a whole heap of extra functions, extra drivers
dont think u will find any e11`s second hand yet, they havn`t been out that long!!!
