Not all JD's (GSR III) came out with factory (3.9) LSD'S! This was a factory option.
However, I believe the two-tone limited edition ones did!

My old JD came with an open 3.9 Diff!

I had Oscar from the States send me a 4 bolt (axle) LSD and the sharper acceleration & grip makes a world of difference !

Check him out through the threads! :beer

If you buy my car it has a 3.55LSD in it :)

But you are probably better to talk to oscar and get one from the US though.
Pretty hard to find.

Eh-Hem.....(Clearing Throught) :D

I offer US LSD's with OPTIONAL 3:90, 4:22 or 4:625 gears and HD CV's with 6 bolt hubs.

The LSDs and all other parts I offer are USED UNITS the LSD's come standard with 3:55 gears BUT I can send it with either 3:90's, 4:22's or 4:625's gear ratios, (At additional cost of corse) The 4:22's are very rare and thus harder to locate, the 3:90's are the best ones to locate in better shape.

NOTE Check the currency converter bellow for a more up to date currency exchange rate OR other currence other than AU$. ALSO NOTE that the currency exchange rate provided is the LOWEST possible and PAY-PAL is about 4% higher than any given quote from the link in my signature.

- LSD is USD$300.00 / AUD$395.00 (Aprox.)
- 3:90 or 4:625 gears USD$120.00 / AUD$160.00 (Aprox.)
- Torque Tube USD$90.00 / UD$120.00 (Aprox.)
- Shipping for all of the above USD$140.00 / AUD$185.00 (Aprox.)

TOTAL with 3:55 gears USD$560.00 / AUD$740.00 ( Shipped to your door )
TOTAL with 3:90 or 4:625 gears USD$680.00 / AUD$860.00 ( Shipped to your door )

And YES the LSD is from the US and it will take about 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, AND if any other gear other than the 3:55 are ordered you WILL need to have the pinnion proffesionally PRESSED in by a machine shop.

e-mail me if you have any questions.

Thanks

Sorry to be a Starion Nazi, but a GSR-III isnt the same as a JD.

The GSR-III is a trim level, cloth and all electrics and was available since 1982. And yes in the later model Japanese Starions mostly had 3.9 open diffs, and only some had 3.9 LSD etc. NZ new and euro ones mostly had 3.55 LSDs though.

Main reason for this was the 180KPH top speed limit in Japan, hence the higher diff ratio, no real need for an LSD, smaller turbos etc.
