FS: VL walkinshaw mockup $2,200 *PRICE DROP*

Post by Glenjo »

Hey guys, I know this is no Starion, but my brother needs to get rid of it so if anyone has any cousins that just wrote off their VL turbz, this would be a good shell to dump their '10 second' engine into..

- This VL WALKINSHAW mockup is perfect for everyone. It currently boasts the RB30 NON-turbo engine with a 5-speed manual behind it, making a perfect cruiser for the 'pig concerned' P-plater. Or it can be transformed into a Godzilla killing monster with the right running gear.

I purchased the car 5 years ago, purchased a RACE QUALITY walkinshaw body kit (less rear wing) and eventually fitted it up to the car. The VL was originally dark blue, which I changed to a darker blue with blue pearl and metallic. This gives the effect of all the lines of the car (and kit) really jumping out at you, as they become a lighter, brighter blue. On an overcast day the car looks very dark, but on the brightest of days the car becomes bullsh!t bright and shiny, thanks to the metallic. Then, at sunset, the car starts to turn a real 'movey' purple. It looks a trip, and has to be seen to be believed! Everywhere I drove this car, people just stopped and turned, no matter who they were, everyone always looked. There is 3Lt of this paint still left over going with the car as well.

Other mods done to the car were a 2-1/2" exhaust from cat back, with only one muffler, which gives it the nicest note I have ever heard, hence why there are NO extractors. It also has a forced cold air induction off the left braked duct. As can been seen in the photos, also has a customized / detailed boot area, quality enough for show. This is suitable to house 2 12" subbies, 3 or 4 amps, capacitor and anything else you could possibly need, all while still maintaining fair boot space. Running through the car I have chosen to LEAVE IN the 4GAUGE amp power cabling, which runs both positive AND negative from front to rear of the car - very high quality - very expensive.

DOES NOT HAVE:
Roadworthy, Registration, CD player, Speakers, Sound equipment etc; Mags/Alloys etc;

DOES HAVE:

Walkinshaw Body kit; 5spd manual, 2-1/2" exhaust, Detailed/Customized boot area, 4-Gauge power cables, Forced cold air induction, New windscreen, New shockers - all 4, New left engine mount, Standard wheels with hub caps.

HONESTLY....REALLY.....?

In all honesty this car is not a perfect car. It does need a bit of elbow grease. But for the right buyer they will understand this, and probably want the car even more for that reason.

The car will be auctioned on Ebay, at a starting bid of $2,700AU, commencing Thursday 24/03/05. I will return and post a link to the auction the day the auction commences. Auction will be held over 10 days. So WATCH THIS SPACE. And HAPPY BIDDING!

im a wog so i can say this see how the drivers seat is in the reclined position leaving you just enuff arm strech to hold the steering wheel this means that the owner of this car would have to be a "fully sick madda" :D

All the sound gears been transfered into our Starions. there still is how ever about $800 worth of competition wiring running to the boot through the sideskirts.. we had to run it through them because they were too thick to run through the car.
