NB: (DOHC is Interchangeable with G63B Block but only necessary for 700+HP)

Kinda put's all the DOHCammers in their place :P

Even Chris collier says 400Hp at the wheels from the 2.0L SOHC is easily achievable, and that equals 500+Hp at the flywheel  ......don't understand why people believe it has to be DOHC or nothing :?

You can't tell from the outside what's been done to the engine internally, don't know why people would want pictures, it does say 5000+k's done on the engine aswell......

From his/her replies to the questions, they know the ins/out thats for sure, I think we should be questioning the intelligence levels of those who asked some of the questions LOL........like wtf would you want to put this in a new model Lancer and 4WD it, would cost so much to set-up the Engine bay and then the ECU and then everything else, may aswell just go out and buy a Galant VR4 and save yourself from the biggest headache of all time :?

And 500Hp through the front wheels, I do :D..........:crying

Can't you get an adaptor Oxy or laser cut ? Like how most of the AU Starions running the DASH Engine's are the narrow block types with an adaptor plate ?

Alot of them are running the 8 valve bottome end with the Dash head and injection.

I wonder whether this engine is as good as it is made out to
be.

While it apparently does have forged pistons and was balanced,
much of the rest of the work done to it is standard reconditioning
practise.

The only head work done was a clean up of the ports, no real
porting. And 3 angle valve seats isnt very special.

Also the same person was selling a hi-flowed tc05 as a 400hp
turbo?

I certainly dont believe that this engine was making 500hp.

I doubt also it was making 500Hp, but standard 4G63BTs' are capable of holding 500Hp with very little work so it's not impossible.....they didn't mention any specs on the T3 wheel used in the TC05, but I have seen Garret T3 Turbo's push 220+Kw atw on 18psi on a SR20s' though :D

Unfortunately I dont have the supporting hardware to make
500hp out of this engine. :(

but I have seen Garret T3 Turbo's push 220+Kw atw on 18psi on a SR20s' though
There is a bit of difference between a T3 turbo and a tc05 hiflowed
with a T3 compressor wheel.

Also there is quite a bit of difference between an SR20 and a sohc 4g63
as far as power potential is concerned.

hehe, I know, it's like having a 500Hp V8 and putting a T2 turbo on it and then claiming it to make 550Hp LOL

Coming from a FWD 2.0 and 2.3 building backround.

Any 4G63 motor can make 500 hp.

A 4G63/4 bottom end will make it reliably if the bottom end is forged. :)

Stock rods like to fold up on themselves at 400+ :D

FYI, the SR20 and a EVOIII or 2G US spec 4G63 make relatively the same HP
