Is the body in very good nik? I have owned two white JA's, and one with plenty of power to boot. As David Kitson saw it. I will post up some pics of my old beast. wat colour is this one in the paper, i can't get a hold of the guy?
a 2.6ltr would be an awesome starting point if turbod.

If it's the same one I saw, the body looks quite ok & straight. It's a two-tone burgundy and gold-ish. Paint on the passenger side is quite chipped, like someone's been given a bucketfull of small rocks and then been invited to throw them at car (from one side only, avoiding windows and rims). Apparently the turbo in the original engine blew up so the owner 'upgraded' the engine to a carburetted Astron 2.6. I'd be guessing that the theory behind this would have been 'bigger engine, more grunt, no turbo, no more probs'.

Kool. I wonder if the engine would be strong enuff for a wee bit of boost!
I like the sound of a 2.6ltr turbo, It works well for the yanks, especially EIP Tuning!
I must own another Starion, i just gotta!
I went on the 1st Starion Cruise, i owned the white JA with huge cooler and polished piping Wolf3d and 3inch zorst. Kim Fernado still owes me fucken money for the piping which cost me a shit load!
Its Tristan by the way.

sounds like thered b a fair bit of a mod to do to get a good turbo working with it though, ure going to have to change the exhaust manifold to cater for the turbo, the intake, probably want to get off carbs (not sure whats involved)...

probably could just about drop a new engine in there with turbo already in it for the same price :P

yeah tru dat.
its just that 2.6ltr boost thing!
I spent dollars on my last JA
Big port head, huge valves, roller rockers, stage 3 cam, L300 MPI (series5 inj) stroked to 2.3, strenghtened rods, block and decked main studs, big ass cooler and wolf 3d!
standard turbo.
broken wastegate pipe and breaking up with ur girlfreind combined with angry right foot, not a good combo!
result : smashed ring landings on 1 and 2. FUCKEN CHICKS (no offence Hoongirl)
i wish i lived over in VIC, seems to be Starion city

If you like, myself or one of the local boys can go and take a look at it.
