For all you lovers of Starions J-Spec imports have listed a black 1988 wide body conquest. Thought you guys might want to look at this beauty.


1988 Mitsubishi Starion GSR-VR

The following car is available through Yahoo Auctions in Japan - the auction is due to finish on Wednesday 20th October 2004 and the expected sale price is around 350,000 yen to 450,000 yen FOB, which should work out to be around $8,400 to $10,000 landed including shipping, import duty, GST and our service fee (excluding compliance & registration costs)

The initial payment should be around $4,400 to $5,700 for the FOB price, plus $1,000 for our service fee - other payments would not be due until after the vehicle arrives in Australia.

now hopefully il be able to find one like that or better to import. It would look phat with a bit of tlc.... but screw paying that much.

lol as posted by rxcorp...the actual car on yahoo japan is only around 2500aud (exchange rate been hovering around the 89 mark)

I looked into importing a while ago - Starions don't comply with front impact standards. You need to get someone who has owned one for a few years to move here and sell it to you if you want one - or wait til its 20 years (if it's from the USA)

Stupid law, doesn't let cars in that are 'unsafe' i.e. not on the governments list of cars with good frontal impact protection - unless they are REALLY old.
