WTB: trail bike up to $1200

I've run into some extra money (not to be spent on my starion!) and I want a trail bike.

Well I got a trail bike. A yamaha TT600...aparently with road tyres are good for a 5/6 second 0 -100 so that should be fun. But those of you who have met me would know I'm only a skinny lanky boy and a heavy 600cc will not end well!

Anyone got any tips for riding a dam heavy bike?

don't fall off it going up hills. they're a pig to lift and restart when hot - not as bad as the XR but still a challenge. interesting choice IF it's your first trailie and you don't have the frame to support it. next time round you might want to try an early husky te350 or 410 - brilliant performance and a lot lighter. Thanks for the advice guys...now to my second point. Does anyone have any land spare I can bring my trail bikes (both) to and have a ride around?

My options are shrinking very quickly...with one mate even saying "You don't want me to come you just need my dad's land" - Dam it! He's onto the scheme.

No seriously any got some land 2 hours within melbourne?
