Hmmm parts car. For $1800 you get the following -

Motor $800
JB Bar $300
Wheels - tip
Diff (if LSD) $800
Doors and panels - $400
Rear bar $100
General odds and sods $400.00
Interior (um, rare maroon) $200-300
JB Rear Lights $100
Power mirrors $100
Console $60
JB Door trims $200

Could be worth a go for someone to make a little cash for a very reasonable outlay. Sydney people, $1800 for a complete JB is a good price, just for parts alone. From experience I can see $3000 worth of parts alone in that car plus all the little bits you keep that you need for your own car. Trims, buttons etc. I'd grab it except I'm over the stripping and selling bit at the moment and space is a little tight at our place.

You dont get many ops to get this sort of gear by waiting for someone else to sell a part. Or have your own parts store for $1800, never buy another item again.well maybe a few. But imagine bingling yours and then trying to find a good bonnet and guards or bumper. Shopping round or walk out to the backyard. I know which is easier and cheaper in the long run.

Or Kevin Elf could buy it as a sister for his current one :D

Parting...

True... could get more in parts ... but it would take months to sell the parts, no space for reckage around the house and what do i do with the shell at the end.

Got a potential buyer .... will know more on Monday

Dario,

Not saying for you to split it, as clearly you need it gone but other members could/should snap up this car.

A JB at $1800 unregistered is a good deal. It has all the things that people have wanted when I was splitting cars -

JB front bumper (as rare as)
Electric mirrors (I could have sold at least 10 sets)
Door trims
Rear lights
There is a front spoiler largely undamaged

I'm just surpised no one is jumping at it thats all. I would have taken it already its just I have absolutely no need for it. I have all the parts I need for Marie's car and the track car.

Cheers
Greg

Now theres a guy that can spot a good deal....

Appreciate your comments WANTSOM.... i am also supprised theres no takers yet, however I do have someone coming over on Monday to inspect the car, and he says what he saw from the pictures, there's a 70% chance he'll buy it.

I'll let you'se know when I sell it....if i sell it. :-)

I will surely miss my Starion...but I have my new
baby now...
Mazda 3 SP23...so it wont hurt as much.

I drove past it on the Hume Highway a couple of weeks ago where it was parked with a "For Sale" sign on it. Car doesn't look too bad and is definitely a good buy, even as a parts car, as Gerg said. But it would be nice to see it kept in one piece. Good luck with the sale, I am surprised it hasn't sold already.
