Parts and price update for Widebody / 5 Lug converssions.

A few things I should point out to you guys is that the 3:9 Gear ratio is NOT an LSD but a STANDARD differential out of a truck. Another thing is that the 3:9 NOR the 3:5 centres will fit inside the Narowbody differential carrier BUT it can be done, you WILL need an 87 or 88-89 LSD Housing and centre BUT you will use the 3:9 gears instead of the 3:5. So you will need to take TWO diffs appart to make ONE. Using an 3:9 diff's gears and a 3:5 Centre and housing.

NOTE:
ONLY the 86-87 model LSD's WILL swap out with NO OTHER modification, AND you can use your OLD CV's and also your old Torque tube (IF you have a Large Diff allready). Now the 87 CV's I sell ARE BIGGER around the SHAFT ( 27mm Shaft ) and that makes them more of a Heavy Duty application compared to your old CV's are aprox. 25mm shaft.

If you want to go all HEAVY DUTY then the 88-89 model LSD is for you. Its a bigger more sturdy LSD internally and it uses the larger 6 bolt CV's that have a 30mm shaft vs the 27mm from the 86-87 LSD and the 25mm of your non-LSD diff. BUT you will have to do one of thwo things to make them work on your narrowbody.
1- Convert to a 5 bolt wheels by using the 88-89 5 bolt hubs
2- Swap the 6 bolt CV's Cups for the 4 bolt CV cups, MUST use LSD CV's

The lenght of the CV's never changes, the A-arms are all the same. There are however different CV's spindles/Splines, they are as follows:

If you use the half shafts and hubs it will all bolt in. Chris, the fronts aren't a problem to have modified to a 5 lug pattern. ;)

I know about the taxes on inported items BUT I was told as long I declare the contents as "USED & Damaged parts for Inspection" and have a declared value of less than US$50.00 it will be minimal. I am NOT too familiar with Australian Import laws and regulations so this is something you will have to look into on your onw. So let me know if the above will work and I can add that to the list of "To-do" things when shipping to you guys.

Guys the shipping price for the LSD is for the WHOLE thing, sealed NOT just the centres. If you guys want ONLY the centres it will weight less BUT I am not sure it will be less than 44 pounds. If its less than 44 pounds then I can ship it for CHEAP US$90.00 for surface 4 to 6 weeks or US$200.00 for Air 5 to12 days. And this is SHIPPED to your door. But I have not taken an LSD appart ever to weight the parts and if I open it up and dissassemble it I will not be able to put it together again the correct way then it will be pretty much useless as a "Bolt-On" application. So please dont ask me to tare it appart just to check the weight. Sorry. BUT I will try to find out about this option.

It will always matter on wether or NOT the parts are available to me.

I am trying to find out if I can get new /Rebuilt Half shafts as one set that I have are due for a rebuilt, they still work fine but will rather NOT sell those as I dont like things comming back to me as I sold a bad or worthless part to any of you. I am trying to build a reputation and thats NOT the way to do it.

If the part is NOT in good condition I rather NOT sell it.

The Wheels are the only ones I think will only go up in price as the wider ones 8's and 9's are getting very rare to impossible to find even here in the US. A BAD set, non-pollished and damage to the lip set of 8's and 9's sells here in the us for as much as US$400.00 then ADD pollishing and repair and you got your new price.

Update on parts needed for the LSD Converssion...

The carrier in the 88/89 is BIGGER than the one from the 87 , the 87 is a 4 bolt axle. The 87 down should fit in the proper houseing , as has been point'd out the houseing is longer for an lsd rear , so the tourqe tubes are shorter to make up for this,, so this means , no, the non lsd houseing will not work with an lsd carrier ,so your gona need to have the houseing and carrier from an lsd rear along with the tourqe tube to match an lsd rear

So you guys will NEED to also get the Torque Tube ( Tube Between the LSD and the Axel ). I'll have to price those for you guys. Shipping the smaller stuff is NOT a big deal and can be rather cheap compared to the LSD. BUT I am still looking into alternate shipping means.
