hey im after an electronic dizzy from one of these motors, as long as it has the t3 part number it will be good to me cheers

yep, got one here with Part No. T3T63185. Complete with dizzy cap, rotor, & vacuum advance unit. $60 including postage to Tassie.

Correct me if i'm wrong... but Optical dizzy's don't have vacuum advance canisters on them... or at least the 20 odd Dizzy's i've seen don't. :wtf:

You are correct, optical dizzy's have no vacuum advance unit, (I have one of those on my MPI) but the electronic dizzy's with the reluctor trigger unit inside do have a vacuum unit. I have always assumed the electronic dizzy was one that didn't have the old style contact points which were never on Starions. Please correct ME if I'm wrong. lol.

Points :wtf: what is this points you speak of :wtf: ... I can't remember the last time I saw points in a dizzy... or a carby for that matter. In fact my son asked me to look at a mates Gemini as it had a fuel thingy ( carby) that he had never come across before ( SON is an Auto Electrician) & only knows of fuel injection ... rofl
