1985 JB Starion for sale with forged motor LSD etc $5,990

-1985 JB Mitsubishi Starion, 2 litre turbo.
-Owned since 09/1998, bought at approx 150,000km. Currently on 208,221. Has only done approx 10,000 since major rebuild by Rotech Automotive in 2005. E6M, intercooler and injectors installed 2002 by Rotech also. Approx $20,000 spent on engine upgrades, have over $15,500 of receipts, the stainless exhaust manifold and intercooler piping I don’t have a receipt for as it was a cash job.-
-Eagle forged conrods, Precision forged pistons and rings
-Garrett GT2876R turbo with 0.64 Exhaust housing running around 15psi
-Custom stainless exhaust manifold
- L300 MPI conversion with enlarged plenum & 550cc RX7 injectors
-XF Falcon throttle body
- Mild port & polish on head, Pro-Torque metal head gasket
-Balanced internals, lightened flywheel, Xtreme heavy duty clutch
-Haltech E6M programmable fuel and ignition computer.
-6750rpm cutout programmed in, can easily go higher with bigger injectors
-Tuned by Rotech Automotive and Fueltech Automotive.
-Haltech waste spark ignition conversion
-2xRX7 intercoolers welded together through 2.5inch stainless piping
-3 inch custom stainless exhaust all the way with straight through 3inch Genie muffler including 3 inch stainless dump pipe.
-Bosch 600hp fuel pump, finer filter air filter,
-Camtech stage2 cam with appropriate valve springs to match.
-Balance shafts removed.
-Custom tail shaft loop.
-Rare LSD option factory fitted, 3.545 final drive.
-Air conditioning which still works fine.
-Interior in great overall condition for age, roof lining has split
-Sony CD player
-5 Speed manual
-Sports steering wheel
-Original 15 inch mags (includes spare mag) on 215/60R15 Bridgestone G Grid2 tyres.
-Boost gauge
-Synchros worn for 2nd to 3rd gear change at high revs, fine for normal driving
-14.018 ¼ mile at 162kph with a 2.245 60ft launch with the above synchro problem, 14.257 ¼ mile at 170kph with previous gearbox that didn’t have this issue and a poor 2.605 60ft launch. I have the time slips if you want them.
-Rear wheel drive (RWD)
-1265kg
-Body very straight, right rear corner has a small shallow dent, some rust, especially around door sills and bottom of inner skin of doors.
-Paint work average, has a few issues with clear coat missing in spots and front bumper has a scrape on the front right. A few below average areas on it.
-Needs wipers looked at as they only come on when the left indicator is on. Squirters need looking at too. Power aerial is stuck up.
-Will include laptop (It’s ancient!) which you can use to programme the computer and datalog your drives. The battery is shot in the laptop so you’ll need an inverter to power the laptop while driving. Naturally the car does not need the laptop to run!
-Registered till November 2012.
