Guys,

Looking to organise another Group Buy for Slotted / Cross Drilled ROTORS to suit 4 Stud.
They can be had locally but the prices are crazy!!! ($480 for PAIR of cross-drilled rear rotors)

I'm looking to source them out of the US.
http://www.r1concepts.com/dodge-conquest-1985-4lugs.htm

They are to suit standard 4-stud brake set ups (Front = 256mm, Rear = 247mm). Need to confirm PCD as they list fronts as 4x100 and rear as 4x114.3

They are to suit standard 5-stud brake set ups (Front = 276mm, Rear = 266mm). Need to confirm PCD as they list fronts as 4x100 and rear as 4x114.3

Options are:
A) Slotted,
B) Cross Drilled or
C) Slotted and Cross Drilled)

Will be needing some assistance with shipping  VPW Thanks Aaron

Thank you for your interest in R1 Concepts. The Elines are constructed using industry standard G3000 grade castings. The Premiums are constructed using G3500 grade. Basically, the Premiums can withstand more pressure because it has higher tension strength, higher durability, and has longer lasting properties. The Premium rotors are coated with an ultra strong rust protection coating that is electro-statically applied. The coating is black and is applied on the rotor hub, outer edge, and the inner vane structure. The Eline rotors are evenly coated with a silver zinc plating for rust protection. We also have zinc plating in gold and black for an additional $5.00 - $10.00 upon request.

So, is there a special GB price?
I might be interested in 4 lug slotted fronts & rears.
Got a price on slotted fronts from a local supplier; $340.

For shipping, I've used this mob: http://www.ship2anywhere.com.au/
Great pickup & delivery service, they use DHL for stuff from the USA.

I think this is going to be a slow group buy. Maybe leave it opem for 3 to 4 weeks. Give people a chance to save up as I don't think I'll do a GB for rotors after this one. And not sure about shipping.

Bring them with you to the cruise ;)

I will consider them, but brakes aren't a priority for the widey at the moment.

As most of you guys know from reading my posts, I am regularly bankrupt! LOL

Tho, I am extremely interested in getting these at some point. I have some questions tho.

Questions:

1. When is the closing date to put in a order? The longer the better for me.

2. Spec/performance wise "Slotted and Cross Drilled" is the best correct? any draw back?

3. Do you need aftermarket brakes to fit these? if buying the Slotted and Cross Drilled, are they only effect if used with aftermarket brakes?

4. I have a set of White Rims that have drill holes for both 4 and 5 studs. Clearly 5 stud is better correct? also, will these fit inside the in Rim, or should I check that first?

AFTER-POST-EDIT:
I am under the impression this is the rotors/discs for the brakes? I read something after that confused me lol
Just thought I'd say this so I don't look like a noob baha

1. Mid March sounds reasonable. Gives people who don't come in here much to express interest and time to put some cash aside.
2. From what I have read so far... Performance. #1 Slotted. Adding Cross drilling looks better.
3. If you get the 4 stud they are a straight swap no aftermarket calipers needed. Just put in a new set of pads at the same time). If you go 5 stud you will need to bring in parts from the USA. Hubs & caliper bracket etc... search for other threads on this mod. The slotted 4 stud discs will be an improvement especially for heavy repeated braking, that with a good set of pads. I did a track day at e-creek and the old discs with crappy pads, old brake fluid and dust shields fitted had my brakes fading after 1 lap!!! rofl
4. The 5 stud is a larger diameter disc which can help but the 4 stud stuff set up well with correct pads, good fluid and no dust shields will do you nicely for street and track days.
5. What did you read that confused you?
