EOI (WA): 1984 Mitsubishi Galant (Sigma) Turbo - SOLD

I'm seriously considering moving my old 1984 Mitsubishi Galant (Sigma) Turbo on - which has been described as a 4dr Starion given the running gear. It sits out the front on the street nowadays and doesn't get used. Unfortunately it's now quite rusty in parts (bottom of doors, bottom of screens, around rear tail lights). It does occasionally get started (with jumper cables) and once it has cleared its throat seems to run fine but with a hesitation under 2000rpm. A few more details:

- 2-litre Sirius 4G63 engine (car has done over 310,000kms, engine was rebuilt at about 160,000 by ex-Ralliart mechanic Malcolm Crockenberg)
- Runs an S13 Silvia T25G Turbo charger
- The running gear is essentially Mitsubishi Starion with IRS and 4-wheel vented disc brakes (which are pretty damn good).
- Replaced driveshaft about 5 years back
- Replaced original seats with (which were torn and saggy) with Mitsubishi FTO seats (fitted by G.M. Millane in East Perth at a cost of $500)
- Runs a custom exhaust (bit of a bitsa - cannon can at rear)
- Gearshift is smooth
- Ride is smooth - has Kings Lowered Springs and Monroe Sport Gas shocks (I think)
- Has a GFB manual bleed valve
- Replaced water pump at about 300,000kms and timing belt was done at about 290,000kms
- Runs reasonably new Federal tyres on Panasport Formula One 14x6.5+0 (?) lightweight rims.
- Has air con which works
- Paint is old and oxidised, may come up with a good cut back, but the clear code has flaked in several areas
- Missing some exterior trim

Here's some pics of it a few years back now:

If anyone is interested, I'm chasing around $900 for it as is - but happy to take offers with assurances it will go to a good home. I've owned it on and off since 1994 I think. Rego runs out in Jan 2012.

Email me at s13sillbeer 'at' gmail.com, or call 0412 141 201.

Cheers
Brendan

PS> If there's genuine interest, I will give her a bit of clean up and take some detailed shots, especially of the rust areas.

Yeah, it's been a pretty reliable car over the 17 odd years I've had it. Comfy cruiser that can still get up and boogie.

Damn, happy to ship it to Qld dirty, but it would probably cost more than the car.

I managed to get the battery charged to over 75%, and have proceeded to get it started. Dropped down and got tyre pressures back up and put $20 fresh 98 into her. Forgotten how much of a nice little cruiser she is. The aircon is still chilly too.

SOLD!

Sorry dirty, it's been sold already. Someone from the sigma-galant.com forums picked it up this afternoon. To be used as a daily for now, then potentially fixed up a little later on.
