But seriously with all of the details on twin cam builds out there it's got to be an easier road to follow now BUT it still is not for the faint hearted :)

Still awaiting photos to go ahead with it......
I wonder if there would be extra drama with putting this set up on a GSR-V with the extra Dash bits and pieces....?
I suppose the bottom end would be just the same?

Mal the bottom end is the same and you can drop a generation 1 6 bolt TC head straight on it's up to you to decide if you need to drill a couple of holes in the block to match the head and decide if you are going to use one of Gregs adaptors on the back of the head or block it off and bring the water return?? out of the front of the head
If you use Gregs I suggest that you extend the pipe and add/ tig a 90 deg ally bend to it so it will be far easier to replace the hose connecting peice to the rest of the radiator return pipeing
Good luck

The fun has already started on this!
Got the Twin Cam yesterday....and I get, wait for it, normally aspirated Hyundai set up!
Pics to follow!
So I get no VR4 ecu, loom, injectors and inlet manifold. And no VR4 head with better cams. Ports look to be big though!
There should be some sort of retribution for this form of misrep. in placing something for sale on the forum!
Not Happy Jan :glare:

VR4 heads have huge ports you can fit half your hand in the inlet for them so id say its just a stock head!

:x This is why I have vowed NEVER to go down the twin cam route or even Multi point EVER again. It is never worth the effort and the gains over a well sorted, well built SOHC running a decent cam and boost is too small to be worth the hassle IMHO.

is the hyundai inlet mani the same as the NA mitsu one? if so, then that's useable with a reverse throttle..
you don't really want the ecu or loom anyway.. aftermarket ecu will allow better control over what the motor is doing, and do the loom right the first time with decent connectors and you won't be plagued with electrical gremlins caused by dodgy or 20 year old wiring.
injectors woulda been nice though eh
Sorry to hear about the drama..

Yeah! I reckon people upgrading to MPI are wasting thier time too! Absolutely pointless! They are traitors to the Starion brand and should be SHOT. Out of a cannon into the sun. :glare:
