Is the thermostat housing actually a thermostat housing or is it just a pipe to carry the radiator fluid from the head?

Ie, can I fit a thermostat into it?

Cheers.

Hi Lummy

Yes, it is actually a thermostat housing.

See the thread link below for full details on it. (also a rough guide of what it looks like, though the finished product is more 'boxy'

Hmmmm, ok, after talking to Wantsom, I thought these deleted the thermostat?

Can you tell me how far these "stick out" from the back of the head (I have firewall clearance issues). I'm just after the depth from the flange to the edge of the 90 degree bend.

If they do indeed accept a thermostat, is it the stock Starion thermostat that fits it?

Cheers.

Hmm, ok, clearly I've mis-interpreted.
He would know better than I as he was the one to have them made up.

Can measure it all up if you are still interested.

It may be me that mis-interpreted, perhaps we can get clarification from someone that has fitted one?

If it takes a thermostat, I'm definately interested.

Wantsoms TC fitting is a lower profile fitting on the back of the head for clearence for those who prefer to keep the water flo stock and does NOT have space for a thermostat .I have a remote t/sat the front of the motor

do you have a hard pipe from the head to the thermo housing? or was radiator hose used there?
