WHAT THE F$%K? are you talking about the drag arm that goes from pitman arm to idle arm on other side, the steering arms then attach to this and to the stub axle assy, yes i can get yours fixed, PM me if you want to know more. Brisbane.:beer

to be honest i have no fuckin clue what it is either...
My car is defected, and the guy inspecting it said it needs to be replaced.
i asked him "what needs replacing????"
he said 'That thing'
and i said 'what????....'
and he said "THAT THING!!!!!" and pointed at something.
and he didnt say anything else.
And i didn't say anything else. :x
I dont know what the actual part is but on my defect notice it reads:
'MUST REPLACE FRONT PITMAN ARM BALL JOINT'
Look if any one can help me out i'd be really greatful. My car's been defected for 18 months and i just wanna get it back on the road.

did he point in the driver side wheel arch, or around that area? if so then this 'MUST REPLACE FRONT PITMAN ARM BALL JOINT' means 'REPLACE PITMAN ARM' coz i am 99.999999% sure the ball joint dosent come off. companys might re-pack them but i dont think so. need a starion or scropion one (i think L200 ute, some sigmas and vans have the same one aswell) what is wrong with it? does it make clunking noises when you turn the wheel?

ah... it seems there is no such thing as a pitman arm ball joint. Starions dont have them.
It is actually the joint between the pitman arm and the centre drag link.
I went to a steering specialist today and they told me that the joint comes with the centre drag link, which connects to the pitman arm.
so what i really need now is a centre drag link.
I'm calling out to all angels here. Anybody got a spare one?.......
