Took my old narrow body coilovers to a suspension place today. After a discussion with the guy who makes all the custom coilovers, turns out that they carry everything i need to make another set on the shelf for my widey :D . The process is really straight forward and the best part is i can keep my koni adjustables :D
Can't believe i have been putting this off until now

. Because he could measure everything off the old ones, i have saved all the r&d work of what size/length sleeve and spring size/height.

Once these are finished im thinking of making another set.
I have a few sets of narrow body struts lying around, and could just supply the strut with springs and adjustable sleeves attached. This would mean that you supply the shocks, but that would be up to your budget.
Anyone interested in buying them? Just thought that seeing no one has a off the shelf item, that this could be a cheap way into the coilover market for some.

They are the ones from Cookie's old coilovers. The guys are getting the part number off them for me so i can get a price on them for anyone interested. They are the fully adjustable type, that have the knob on the top that you attach and turn to make it firm or soft.

Depends on what springs,shocks and top hats you require. It is easier for me to sell the strut with just the sleeve welded on and a set of springs. These are still not cheap compared to an off the shelf (eg Tien) item for other cars, but much cheaper than anywhere else around i have found.
If you have a good set of shocks already, to me this is a cheap way to have coilovers until you can afford a good set of aftermarket shocks later down the track.

I am not really trying to make any money here, just trying to help the forum out. The advantage i see is having all the spares available locally.

I did, but if you wanted to use stock shocks they don't have to.
Just for the record, i dropped mine off on Tuesday and they rang on Wednesday lunchtime to say they were ready to be picked up.

Can't wait for the weekend so i can pick them up :D

I can tell you that they are much cheaper than that, including a set of c spanners too. :D
