WTB in NZ: Rear 18mm or bigger sway bar

Hey guys,

I have a 16mm rear sway bar in my A164A Eterna which I'm finding difficult to get a polyurathane mount bush for, only off the shelf ones are for JA, JB and JD Starions with 18mm sway bars. I've tracked down a couple of import Starions for parts but both have 16mm sway bars also (they must be early models).

So does anyone in NZ (or even AU if the swaybar is cheap!) have a spare rear sway that is 18mm (or even bigger provided I can get bushes for it).

I tried getting ahold of both front and rear Whiteline sway bars but no one in NZ stocks them anymore and no one seemed to be able to get them in from AU :(

Cheers guys

You could probably adapt generic swaybar mounts to fit the rear subframe, and you should be able to get them in 16mm from supercheap? Wouldnt be to hard if you've still got the rear subframe out...?

well I'm more keen to get a bigger than 16mm sway bar anyway, thought a Starion 18mm sway bar would be an upgrade and would be easier to get a polyurethane bush off the shelf. Supercheap don't do a generic bush kit, but places like BNT etc do. However I would have to mess around with attaching mounts to the crossmember as on mine (and I'm sure it's the same for the Starion too) the bush mount slots into the crossmember on one side and is clamped down with a bolt on the other side.

There's nothing really wrong with my existing sway bar bushes but I've upgraded everything else to Super Pro polyurethane I may as well do the sway bar mount bushes too.
