Posted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 11:10 am
Hey guys,
Mega random thing to sell here. But here for sale is my old trumpet I used to play.
This is what's for sale
Price: $1000 for the trumpet and all its accessories (paid $2500 for it all, NOT including the cornet below)
1 X Yamaha YTR6335S (silver plated model) Comes in original case.
With the trumpet comes 3 mutes 2 mouthpieces + a few spare parts
1 X Alessi Vacchiano Leblanc straight mute (very high quality)
1 X Jo Ral bubble mute (very high quality, a bit dented)
1 X Humes and Berg Stonelined cup mute (most popular cup mute)
1 X Vincent Bach 3C mouthpiece (Bach is pretty much top of the line)
1 X Antoine Courtois 4 mouthpiece
These parts here cost me $500+ and are all very good quality parts. No cheap parts here
Trumpet Condition: Excellent.
The valves are in great condition. All 3 shoot right back up every time and never stick.
All the slides function perfectly and the 1st and 3rd valve slide also slide easily allowing alot of control.
The plating is in great condition with only 1 substantial wear spot (pictured).
The only other wear is 3 tiny dents which are all smaller than my little finger nail (pictured)
I have always looked after this trumpet, only using high quality valve oil and slide lube and cleaned regularly.
This trumpet cost my dad $2000+ when purchased (cant find receipt) and if you look now they are still selling for near that.
I didn't know what to write about it but here is some details from the net about it:
Specifications:
YTR-6335 S
Trumpet Key: Bb
Bell Material: Yellow Brass
Bell Size: 123mm (4 7/8")
Bore: 11.65mm (0.459")
Finish: Silver Plate
Pistons: Monel Metal
Mouthpiece: 14B
Water Keys: Main & 3rd Slides
Thumb Hook: 1st Slide
Fixed Ring: 3rd Slide

Yamaha professional standard weight trumpets feature a one-piece bell for exceptional tone and response. Hand-lapped valves and slides provide precise fit and smooth airflow. A slightly darker sound and moderate resistance are offered by the conventional tuning slide with single brace. Excellent intonation and response are assured by the one-piece drawn gold brass leadpipe.

Wear spot
dent + mother of pearl caps
Alessi Vacchianno - Leblanc straight mute
Jo Ral Bubble mute
Humes and Berg Stonelined cup mute
Mouth pieces
Cornet:
1 X Boosey & Hawkes England
Besson 600 Silver Plated Cornet
1 X Vincent Bach 11B Mouthpiece
Boosey & Hawkes are a very well reknown English company known for very good wind instruments
Condition: The silver plating is in near mint condition. There are a few tiny tiny (smaller than phone button) dents in a few places.
But by looking at it the cornet it is in awesome condition as you will see in the pics.
All slides are straight and function properly. Third slide functions perfectly with lots of ease and control.
Again I have always taken great care of this cornet like the trumpet. The valves are in great condition and never stick and shoot straight back up every time.
This cornet was bought 2nd hand for $800 from a family friend who used to own a wind instrument store.
Price: $500ono
