Hi

I have just pulled out the exhaust manifold on my wifes car and apart from the manifold gasket needing replacing the manifold itself has cracked :(
Who has an option for me??? I reckon this one is warped too much to make it worth machining and welding so I think I am after a replacement.

Thanks :beer

The one Nachoman has is the one I replaced off my JD..... apparently too warped to weld and remachine.
This latest is off my wifes JB..... quite warped so I think there has to be a better way.
2nd hand $200 is obviously the going rate...... but they could crack at anytime and obviously there is no warranty..... is there a better way? because its a common issue.

I am going to be in Bris and Melb in August..... it may wait til then if someone in these cities has one?

:)

Are you prepared to spend $450 and wait 6 weeks? Can get them brand spanking new from Japan if you want Noddy.

Posting one these manifolds should only cost $20 to WA (if that!) They're pretty compact albeit a little heavy!

Have you considered stress relieving a second hand manifold? In the U.S. they cut the manifold between each port where it bolts to the head. Also if your manifold is cracked it may pay to check your exhaust housing on your turbo around the wastegate passage.

Thanks to all for your input.... it seems I have a few options and will think them through and make a decision - luckily we do not rely on the JB as a daily so there is no huge rush.

Thanks again :D
