yeah oscar sent me some 4 bolt caps with the diff i just swapped them over..
but there was 1 problem the pitch was a bit out so i had to put them in the mill and set them up in an indexer and slot the holes by about 1.3mm to make them bolt up correctly..

ah so u used the 87 widey 4 bolt flanges then. i just happen to have a pair of them here (and for sale). they're a different bolt pattern to the aussie 4 bolt yes.iXNAY wrote:yeah oscar sent me some 4 bolt caps with the diff i just swapped them over..

Yes I think that's what Oscar said. You have to use the 1987 4 bolt because the CV's are the same size as the 6 bolt. This lets you swap the 6 bolt outer flange to a 4 bolt outer flange. However I didn't realize the 4 bolt pattern is slightly different to ours, bugger.redzone wrote:ah so u used the 87 widey 4 bolt flanges then. i just happen to have a pair of them here (and for sale). they're a different bolt pattern to the aussie 4 bolt yes.iXNAY wrote:yeah oscar sent me some 4 bolt caps with the diff i just swapped them over..

Apparently the earlier US cars have a different size CV which means you can't mix and match. I am not sure what spec our OZ cars are.
