thats execally what i wanted for the extra injecters, when do U want the money to start production also Y R U looking at the VR4 TB? most people use XF or VN commodre TB, can we makea universal maount, I have both TB I will send dimenitions 2 u of them. Guess U don't have any plans to make adjustable strut tops either? :beer

I think you are right with the amount of air that will pass through the TB. Unless your intercooler piping is bigger than 60mm then it really isnt going to matter. And i would rather stick with an easily accessible TB like the vr4, however changing it to a larger such as the XF TB wouldnt be that hard.The vr4 TB flows more air than you can use. It also seals properly and is more reliable than XF/Holden items. You can port the vr4 to 63mm if you NEED to, but I highly doubt it'll ever be the cause of an inlet "restriction".
I wanna finish the design properly before i jump into production. And as for the adjustable strut tops, they would be relatively easy to get made (as i have a few contacts with both plasma and laser cutting businesses :D ) , with the exception of the Rose joints. ill have a look around in auckland for some as that will be a bit easier and let you know how i get on with that, otherwise getting them off you sounds good.as for rose joints thats easy. how many U want?
ah ok. I will probably be getting a WOLF as well for engine management. Is the vr4 throttle body not suitable for this?The only reason I am using the VN/XF is the wolf will run 4wire stepper motor or PWM like om XF
do you mean for the flange that bolts to the head? or another sort of throttle body? if its for the head flange, then it will be a case of designing different size funnels and trumpets as well as a different volume plenum.Is there any chance that it can be made with the magna style flange for the 2.6???
At this stage I dont want to have a whole lot of different designs on the go at one time sorry, but ill let you know if things change :)

Unfortunally the Ver4 & Ver4+ units don't do 6 wire stepper motor, like the VR4 is. I don't know about the V400 or the V500 units as i havent played with them........ YET?
The 2.6L is completely different, have a look at a MAGNA, that will give U enough info, but as U said, 1 project at a time.. & mine is more important WIDE BODY WOODY! :beer

The most powerful VR4 in Australia runs a Wolf ver4 with a vr4 TB bored to 63mm... So someone's telling you fibs.

Good to see someone is putting their university education to good use - now where did my thesis go..... hmm websurfing much more interesting.
Anyway colour me interested (in strut braces as well). At least the shipping isn't as big a prob within NZ.

already dont that my friend. 'Spose you want that adjustable as weel however. Thats just a case of a threaded centre section on the rod. I'm not trying to be negative at all here, but I'd love to see some calculations for any of this stuff, most notably the runner lengths and plenum volume for the intake.
Also, how do you plan on making the inlets cheaply? To get injector bosses machined up and make it all match up to a fuel rail is quite tough - I've been involved with one recently. Any flow bench or dyno testing planned for tuning runner lengths?
Finally, any calcs involved in how stiff you've made the strut brace and sizes of end pieces etc, or was it just thrown together in CAD?

Tuned runner lengths are not necessary with Forced Induction. Certain lengths are still required though to avoid flow interference between runners when the valve opens and closes eg dynamic flow...
Computer games don't affect kids I mean if PacMan affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music :D
