Honestly, keep the sale seperate first and foremost.
The rest, well its gonna come down to looks, but make a pledge to each other that if you'se can't for whatever shallow reason with each other, that you'll be more then happy to set something up with someone else you know if the oppurtunity comes up, that way its a win-win situation for either of you regardless of the outcome between each other as you have expanded your group of opposite-sex friends by + 1 which in turn usually has 5 other friends X by the no of parties they can then invite you along to and your chances multiply
