Hang on guys. There are a number of places that are offering these D2 coilovers for under $1,000 (plus shipping):

http://www.shocks-coilovers.com/D2_Raci ... 10216.html

www.jmautoracing.com has a special price $963:

there are plenty of re-sellers out there. I am sure that they can at least discount the shipping costs if they are combined.

At this rate we might be able to get 10 together for a group buy :D

I think by the time you add Shipping/import costs to that US$950 it would be about the price of this group buy.

Are spring rates to be spec'd by each buyer, or do they come in a generic rate? What have others ordered in the US for Wide and narrow bods?

Good find. But, I checked that link and they were up to $975 when I looked. But even then they are going to be around the $1,500 mark when you include shipping, import duty and gst.

Like I said list your interest in this thread so I can better gauge numbers.

I'm getting more info on spring rate options.

Tomsun, consider me somewhat interested at this stage. I'm looking for a setup for the track but instead of having superhard springs, I want the springs a bit less compliant than factory gear, ideally with adjustable rebound inserts and I'll dial out body roll with huge swaybars instead.
Honestly I'm thinking adjustable koni inserts into a modded leg with the adjustable platform.
Somthing along the lines of these:

I might pay more for it upfront but the payoff is in the rebuildable Konis which can be done here - no shipping them interstate or overseas.

Damn I wish I hadn't wasted my money a month ago on other stuff :( I would have so been in on these but unfortunately I have to give them a miss at this stage

On a side note, I have been looking into getting another company to make them for us. Locally. But have not gotten a price yet. Will keep you informed as I know more.
