Mal,

Apart from the fact you feel ripped, the Hyundai head is still very useable as is the inlet. Injectors from the Hyundai would be chucked in the bin anyway as too small for boosted application, plenty of nice aftermarket 550/600cc injectors (Siemens would be my recommendation) for not a lot of money.

The Hyundai head has smaller ports than the VR4 (similar to an EVO 1-3 head) which for a street motor is actually an advantage. It will provide a bit better low/mid range response. Cams arent an issue as to realise the full benefit of the TC swap I would strongly suggest going with a set of 264's or 264 inlet/272 exhaust with adjustable cam wheels. The ability to dial in the cams is critical to making the car 'responsive'.

Everything else on the Hyundai head is the same as the Mitsi one, except the VR4 port area.

There are even options on the ECU (you can run an EVO 7 ECU very capably which can be sourced pretty easily and are tuneable). Some say the EVO 7 ECU is the best aftermarket UCU on the market but thats a matter of personal preference imho. But its an option.

Give me a call if you want to talk it through. I can help out with options that that wont cost the earth and are pretty readily available. Whatever, all is not lost. Man - when I started I had a water pump, uncut inlet manifold and a bare (and I mean bare) head. Now I have 240kws at the wheels at bugger all boost and loving it.

The TC conversion isnt that hard and is certainly a lot easier than say 2 years ago due to this forum and the contribution of information by those that have done it. The end does justify the means, trust me

Cheers
Greg

Greg, is there more info available on your build? Do you have a separate thread for it (I feel like I've seen a Wantsom multiple-page build thread) and in particular the engine build?
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

There is a thread but revisiting it I realised how much time I spent building it and how little time I spend writing about it. Any questions from anybody, I am happy to help as best I can.

Thanks Greg for offering your help in this matter. I had a chat to Redzone and was aware parts were useable. However VR4 stuff would have been nice and a better looking set-up.

You could buy a run down n/a Galant for just over $500 and use parts to convert to twin cam. I hate being dudded and I gotta say, it's been happening quite a lot lately!!
