KM-132 Gearbox Rebuild kit

hi all, im after a KM-132 Gearbox rebuild kit, its for a narrow block 4g52/54 i "heard" they the same as the station boxes... if anyone might know where i could get a kit from or information it would be greatly appreciated.

A KM132 is definatly whats in a starion, i can tell you that much, its stamped on zee plate on zee firewall.

i figured so, just my box is for a GE Scorpion, its the 2.0 ltr Mitsu box KM-132 just questioning the internals.

Pretty sure you can get them through Repco etc.. not cheap though. Last time I checked it was $400+. I found it was cheaper to just buy second hand boxes when mine broke.

Eh?? serious... that sucks... I just did synchros and bearings in my
one (maintanence only, no issues) I wont be thrashing it again :cry: I thought they were strong.. hence all the black marks and smoke in the picture to the left

im goin through my 2nd.... syncros n dog teeth are gone. 2nd, 3rd gone n its popin outa 2nd.

anyone know where i can get a kit from.... i been told CBC bearings for only bearing gaskets n a few nuts $400 or so..bux.

n repco...but they sure know how to ridiculously price there shit....so im not even goin to bother there/

The Starion KM132 and the Scorpion/Sigma KM132 box ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

The Starion box uses Angular ROLLER BEARINGS and the Scorp/Sig box uses Angular contact BALL BEARINGS. Reverse gears in the Stazz box are helical but in the Sig/Scorp they are straight cut.

The bearings and gears ARE NOT interchangable.

Hope you get this Info BEFORE you buy the kit.

I have a broken gearbox that you can have.
If you are interested in ripping into it.

BEST advice get one from the wreckers 150-180 AUD.

From pesonal experience, if you are running a Starion engine with Sigma/Scorp gearbox and diff - the trans/diff won't last long anyway.

i got another box on the floor that i could sway.. but i wanted some new parts. thee has to be a supplier somewyere in aus....
