Do you still have the Wolf3d?
Why dont you just use the stock ECU chipped up on the VR4?

I do still have the Wolf3D but I have someone interested in it right now. I was actually planning on running a 32bit Delco system. I have a Nissan Pulsar that uses the 16 bit version and have eprom burner and all software etc to burn Delco chips. I have a lot of programming knowledge with the Delco. I learnt the Delco to understand the Wolf3D, start with grade3 maths before going to calc and linear algebra 101.

I don't have access to a VR4 ECU etc plus I wanted to stay away from afm. My Starion used to get beaten by Pulsars :( till I got on boost anyway.

My plan is to start with MPI on my ported and polished SOHC head. Get it running properly. With 2 or 3 bar map sensor the puter will handle boost and I have found fully supported rom files for a 4 cylinder sohc mpi turbo from the States.

Any help getting my 4G63 wide block - Dohc conversion working properly is still gonna take some work and advice and lots of $$$$$$$$.

Cheers

The delco system would seem to be a great solution for an economical engine management system. what software and hardware are you planning on using? as I have a full VN comp and loom and was thinking about going down the same road.

If you are after a complete 4 cylinder loom to suit. I am wrecking a Holden Astra N13 right now. The car still starts etc. If you want loom or any other bits and pieces advice come on round.

Flav, Electronics Australia or Dick Smith both make Eprom burner kits. Priced around $120 for the kit which needs to be assembled. I used to build electronics for a living so no dramas with quality of assembly.

Factory ECU helps with insurance and nosy police, not necessarily from the Misti factory but hey. I have analysed a stock starion ECU they are primitive. Delcos in various forms have block learn memory BLM, meaning over time with information from all the sensors including oxygen sensor it can trim up its fuel maps. You can read these BLM figures and adjust the base program closer to where it should be. Boost is still going to cause a few issues but keeping a very close eye on O2 readings using a wideband sensor I shouldn't have any dramas.
