YES the Coil overs DO work with the factory Struts. Look at the photos on the link on the first post. You just slide the threaded sleeve on the body of the strut and rea seemble.
Also you say your rear struts are bad and there's NO replacements there ?
Are they special ? Just curious... can they be found in the US ? If so I can work with you.

no not special... just unavailable. no one makes them here. Can get them cut and modified but costs a bit more then just replacements would. A member has got a set sent from the US from tokico tho, works well and still half the price of modifying.

Ahhhh
Custom work...Yeah thats pretty much the deal when we convert our struts to Adjustables. GREAT upgrade but not cheap or fast to modify. We use the REAR Adjustable Inserts from a second Generation MR-2, ( We have a choice of GAB's or Koni's) and use a Spacer inside our Strut housings to make up for the shorter MR-2 inserts. And well we end up with some NICE adjustable suspenssion.
Well just let me know if I can help in any way.
I am willing and able to do it.
