I thought about that, but the seal kit isn't cheap, plus you need a press.

No you don't , not to do just the seals. It's probably just the one on the front.

Hmm.. Fulcrum reckoned you did need a press. Yeah, it is the seal on the front.

I pulled one I have apart to redo the thread on the shaft. Take the bolts out of the back, take the cover off carefully, there's a circlip you have to get off and make sure you notice which way the little impeller blades go. They will fall out and move around everywhere. Once you have all that crap out flip the pump and hit the shaft softly with a hammer. It should all drop out and give you access to the front seal.
I have a pdf of it if you don't. It's not that hard to pull apart, just be careful.
